Bachelor of Law with the University of Oviedo in 1996. Erasmus scholarship at the University of Pisa (1995-1996). School of Legal Practice of Principality of Asturias (97-99). Internships at Fox, Rothschild, O´Brian y Frankel, in Philadelphia (USA), at the Spatial and Urban Planning Commission of Asturias and the Law Department of the City Hall of Oviedo.
Practising lawyer and member of the Bar Association of Oviedo since 1998.
He has been legal advisor for the Technical Mining Engineers’ College of Asturias since 2008.
He was acting and he still does as insolvency administrator appointed by various judicial institutions, as an individual lawyer or through GdP Legal, in dozens of insolvency and bankruptcy proceedings in Asturias, Madrid and other cities in Spain.
He has been interested in the legal institutional framework taking him to occupy various positions such as: General Training Coordinator of the General Council of the Spain’s Bar Associations (CGAE) from July 2017 until 2019; vice-secretary of CGAE from March 2015 until 2019; Dean of the Bar Association of Oviedo (ICAO) from May 2015 until 2019; Director of School of Legal Practice of Principality of Asturias since 2013; General Coordinator of ICAO’s Study Center from 2009 until 2016; Secretary of the Board of Directors of ICAO from 2011 until 2015.
He is also active in teaching law: professor at the School of Legal Practice of Principality of Asturias, member of the Academic Commission and professor at the Master’s Program of Law; collaborator at the College of Magistrates in the program of initial training for practicing judges; speaker at training workshops for the Latin-American law practitioners organized by the Spanish Agency of Cooperation together with the CGAE, in La Antigua (Guatemala) and in Santa Cruz de la Sierra (Bolivia).
