Nuria Fernández Díaz

Practicing lawyer and member of the Bar Association of Oviedo since 1999. Between 1996 and 1997 she worked in Madrid at Velasco & Asociados’ Law Firm. Since then, she practiced law as a freelancer. Founding partner of GdP Legal in 2015, she is in charge of the labour law department while working as well  in the bankruptcy law department . 

Ever since she started practicing law, she started specializing in labour law. Since 2011 she focused mainly on the business field, specifically on entrepreneurial crises and the legal mechanisms to face those, always with the triple objective in mind: maintain the business activity and the employment, avoid or minimize the partners and administrators' liability and try to accomplish the obligations and commitments towards the third parties.

She was acting and he still does as insolvency administrator appointed by various judicial institutions, as an individual lawyer or through GdP Legal, in dozens of insolvency and bankruptcy proceedings in Asturias, Madrid and other cities in Spain.

As well as the other members of the GdP Legal Team, she places great emphasis on the continuous training and thus attending systematically at various courses and congresses throughout the year.

She was invited as speaker on various occasions at workshops and congresses, specifically on topics such as: protection of workers’ claims at insolvency proceedings, the extinction or suspension of employment contracts, selling of productive units or the possible restructuring of labour debts, and business subrogation where she was collaborated with the Social Security Department.
